2nd and 3rd Grade Judaic Studies
- Torah – Studying the Book of Sh’mot (Exodus), students learn of the Jewish people’s journey from slavery in Egypt to the receiving of Torah. While studying B’reisheet (Genesis) they learn how God wants them to live and treat others.
- Avodah (“work” to find sacred connections to God, community and self) – Getting to know God through Jewish stories, holiday celebrations and rituals, students are able to express their relationship with God
- G’milut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness) – Performing acts of g’milut chasadim, students learn they can make the world better; they learn how individual acts of loving kindness can make the world more kadosh (holy)
