High Holy Days

High Holy Days 2013 / 5774

High Holy Days are a time for reflection, introspection, prayer, and re-connection.  We welcome you to join us in celebrating and observing these special Holy days.

Members of the congregation will automatically receive their High Holy Day tickets in the mail. Please contact the CBT office if you need additional tickets for friends or family.

If you are not a member of the congregation, please contact our office for information regarding tickets, times and the location of services. If you decide to become a member of Congregation B’nai Tzedek shortly after the holidays, we will gladly apply any ticket costs to your membership.

We look forward to sharing the High Holy Days together!

HIGH HOLY DAYS INFORMATION

Attendance at High Holy Day Services is greater than the seating capacity in B’nai Tzedek’s sanctuary. We are fortunate to have generous neighboring congregations who graciously allow us to use their facilities for these larger services. Please check the schedule carefully to find the location of each service.

HIGH HOLY DAY TICKETS

High Holy Day tickets are required for security purposes. Congregation B’nai Tzedek members receive their tickets a few weeks prior to High Holy Days. Tickets are available for non-members through the synagogue office before the beginning of the High Holy Days. Full-time students and active duty military will be admitted without a High Holy Day ticket when they present proper identification.  Members of other congregations should make arrangements through their synagogue office to send a letter of reciprocity via email or fax to Congregation B’nai Tzedek’s office – email to office@cbtfv.org or fax to 714-968-2521.

PRAYERBOOKS

We ask that each person bring his/her own copy of the High Holy Day prayer book, Gates of Repentance, to services. Books are available for purchase in the synagogue office.

SEFER HA-ZIKARON (Yom Kippur Memorial Book)

As part of the observance of Yom Kippur, we publish a Yizkor book. It is the tradition at CBT to include the names of those who have passed away. Members will receive request forms in the mail. Others may contact the synagogue office to have a form sent.
