Kindergarten and 1st Grade Judaic Studies
- Torah – Studying the Book of B’reishit (Genesis), students learn they are part of the ongoing story of Torah and the Jewish people
- Avodah (“work” to find sacred connections to God, community and self) – Learning about Jewish holiday observance and celebrations, students discover the beauty and order of sacred time and their place in the Jewish story
- G’milut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness) – Performing acts of g’milut chasadim, students learn how they can improve their world by saying “I’m sorry”, forgiving others, giving tzedakah, being kind, taking turns, including others, taking care of the earth
Yearly Field Trips and Projects may include:
