Religious School Brit Kehillah

Brit Kehillah star of david

At Congregation B’nai Tzedek a commitment to being part of our synagogue community is necessary to enroll children in our religious school program.

However, we have a very different and new philosophy relating to the financial side of that commitment! It’s a philosophy of inclusion and allows everyone access to our CBT community.

Our philosophy, which we call Brit Kehillah (Community Covenant), has replaced “dues.”  Under Brit Kehillah, we ask you to look at both the opportunities CBT provides, along with annual expenses required to provide those opportunities.  Then, we ask you to determine your annual monetary commitment, no questions asked.  Your Brit Kehillah commitment does not include Religious School fees, which can be found by clicking here. For more detail about Brit Kehillah, click here (a new window will open).

Please email Religious School Director April Akiva at aprilakiva@cbtfv.org to sign your child(ren) up for religious school.  If you are not currently a member, we will contact you regarding CBT membership . . . not to question your monetary contribution, but to determine how we can help you make your membership commitment one that’s meaningful.

Both Rabbi David Young and Religious School Director April Akiva look forward to answering any questions you may have about our community and/or our religious school.

Thank you and Welcome to Congregation B’nai Tzedek!
